taking a moment

last night as i was shooting a client's vineyard, perched high up on pritchard hill overlooking lake hennessey, + as the sun began to set behind the lake i was just so overcome with feelings of gratitude and gratefulness that i had to take a moment to soak it all in.  i feel extraordinarily fortunate that  my work revolves around capturing images of some of the most fabulous vineyards + vistas found in the napa valley, but also that i have such an amazing husband, family + another wee one on the way.  

it's so easy to get caught up in the daily goings on of life + forget momentarily what really matters at the end of the day.  i count my lucky stars that my work affords me so many reflective moments + the time to truly appreciate my life, where i live + all that i have to be grateful for.  i'm a lucky lady.

revival vineyards {wine}

so thrilled for my friends, lindsay and sean garvey, who just launched their new brand, revival vineyards.  aside from being a ridiculously talented duo- lindsay is an accomplished and well respected photographer {+mentor to me}, and sean is an equally talented and successful musician/singer/songwriter, they are just two of the coolest and most genuine people on the planet.  as both are napa valley natives from wine families, it was only a matter of time before they turned their ceaselessly creative minds to the vineyards and wine...and wine drinkers everywhere will be thrilled that they did.

anything and everything that these two create is, and is sure to be, a wild and wonderful success.  if you're quick, perhaps you can be one of the lucky few to get your hands a bottle from their inaugural release which consists of a precious 96 cases.

So proud of my dear friend, Claiborne Swanson Frank, and all the success she has had since embarking upon her photography career last year.  I always love to celebrate my friends and their accomplishments, and below is her most recent press feature from C Magazine, which not only displays some of her gorgeous portraits from her first collection, Indigo Light, but also shares a little bio about each woman.  I've said this many times before, but i truly feel honoured to be a part of Claibs' collection, but also to be in the company of so many stunning and talented women.
