my little man is six!

not gonna lie- the last six years have been filled with anxiety, fear, worry, frustration, feelings of total incompetence and failure, 

and bucket loads of OMG's + WTF's. 

more importantly though, and what we will remember when we're old and wishing we could see him everyday, is that Thatcher has filled our lives with love, immeasurable happiness, an eager desire to be better, endless wonder, glowing pride, overwhelming appreciation and infuriating hilarity. he has taught us that simple answers are unacceptable, that indeed everything IS open for debate, that being a parent doesn't infallibly mean that you're a grown up, and that you simply can't love someone too much.

now that the vineyards are going to sleep for winter...
